Last Friday, Wharton announced changes to its loan assistance program for international students to its Board of Governors. The changes come amidst a faltering world economy and its associated deterioration in credit quality. Not coincidentally, like the bad news facing some of the world's financial institutions, Wharton's student default rate has climbed over the last several years, from less than 2% to a repeated 5% for the classes of 2000 and 2001.
Evan Wittenberg WG'02 is only a few months into his tenure as the new Director of Wharton's Leadership Program, but his impact has already been felt across campus. The Career Fellows program was established to institutionalize student involvement in the MBA Career Management Office.
