The first-ever Wharton fashion show, scheduled for November 23, has a lot to offer. For the diehard patriots who love their country, their costumes and traditions, the fashion show is a milieu to showcase their authentic, colorful costumes and let others get a glimpse of their proud origins. A true celebration of cultural diversity at Wharton! With AAMBA, Arabia, Whalasa, WASA, Europa, China, Hispanic MBA, India and Korea clubs set to go on stage with their vibrant models, coutures and rhythms, here is a microcosm of the incredible diversity Wharton represents.

The show, co-sponsored by The Wharton Culture Club, WGA and GAPSA, has attracted quite a few designers, fashion stores, and alums running jewelry businesses, who are excited to present their work of art to Whartonites. The new talents I discover each day in my fellow students, never cease to amaze me. We have an experienced DJ, Nikhil Anil Parikh, composing the music for the show. A 100-member graduate and under-graduate volunteer team is pulling at all stops to make the show a grand success. Suzette Sugathan, the Event Manager, is organizing the event to the last smoke screen. Angie Zeng and the International Cultural Reps of each cohort are coordinating participation of clubs in the International Heritage Round. Akshay Mansukhani and Oreoluwa Sofekun are exerting their persuasive charms on fashion stores for sponsorships. Anjana Nigam is leading the publicity campaign for the show with her 7-member marketing team. Anita Krishnamoorthy is directing the choreography effort. Chantelle Street is co-ordinating electrifying performances for the event. Sanjeev Balhara, with his reputed quant skills, is carefully weighing the budget and expenses to make this all happen. Accomplished public speakers will be lighting up the event with their witty banter. Learn more about why we are doing this and what this show means to us at www.whartonfashion.com.

We will also have exquisite jewelry auctioned at the show. For those whose vanities only got bigger with the world's best MBA, here is another no-excuse indulgence. We came to Wharton to learn while having fun, and we need not be apologetic about it. Show-stoppers, if you have got it, this is absolutely the time to flaunt it. All Wharton waits with bated breath!
