This year a long standing tradition that dates back to the '90s will return to Wharton… the Wharton Yearbook. You might have seen our survey or even our request for photo submissions (there is still time to submit your favorites). Today we want to give you an idea of (1) what the Wharton Yearbook is and (2) why YOU need one.
What is a Yearbook??
A yearbook is a collection of pictures and memories that are bound and represent a memory of our time here at Wharton. The yearbook will have photos of each student, the cohorts, social events, trips & treks, performances, and the University. There will be equal representation of each student at Wharton and of all organizations.
Why do you need a yearbook?
The Wharton yearbook will be a tangible memory of your time here on campus. Furthermore, the Wharton yearbook will serve as a business card to over 1600 Wharton MBAs as each of our email address will be preserved inside its pages. Five to ten years from now you may want to get into an industry for which you knew a classmate was passionate. By purchasing a yearbook you will be able to open its pages, find the former classmate, and email them on their lifelong Wharton email address.
Professional concerns aside, the true value of the Wharton yearbook will be the memories encapsulated in its pages. Let's face it; Facebook will not be around forever. The yearbook will be a physical reminder of your time at Wharton. I know years from now I will open my Wharton yearbook in order to remember how incredible my two years on campus have been.
Memories fade but the Wharton Yearbook will always be there to help you remember.
